Hampden, Maine firefighters responded to a train-truck collision about 11:00 a.m. Thursday at a railroad crossing on Route 9 (Western Avenue) outside of Bangor, Maine in Hampden.
The truck was cut apart piece by piece during extrication operations. An IV was started along with other advanced life support. The driver was extricated with minor injuries, but was airlifted to hospital as a precaution.
Hampden, Maine (pop. 2751) is located located in Penobscot County, and is part of the Bangor Metropolitan Statistical Area.
