Reporter Sarah Hashim-Waris from The Times newsroom with details on the so-called White fire, which forced residents and campers to evacuate Monday.
The White Fire grew to approximately 1,800 acres Tuesday morning and threatens 50 homes. More than 1,000 campers and about 4,000 residents fled the mountains of Santa Barbara County to avoid a fast-moving wildfire swept through part of the Los Padres National Forest and surrounding areas.
