Northfield firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:09 p.m.to a truck vs. car crash with a truck on fire on top of a car in the northbound lanes of the Edens expressway. Firefighters reported seeing flames while responding to the fire. Immediately on arrival, firefighters called for the Northfield ladder truck and a Prospect Heights airport crash truck stationed at Chicago Executive Airport.

The crash location was in the northbound lanes of the Edens Expressway, just north of the Willow Hill Executive Center, which is located on the opposite side of the expressway on the Frontage Road.
