A witness told KCAL9’s Tom Wait the driver fled in a red car.
Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:35 p.m. Thursday to a report of a bicyclist hit by a hit-and-run driver at 8558 N. San Fernando Road in Sun Valley.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a red Dodge vehicle. Initially no identification was released.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating.
