Hoffman Estates police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:41 AM Thursday August 30, 2018 to a report of a crash with injuries involving a Cook County Sheriff’s squad car on fire at Golf Road and Barrington Road Hoffman Estates, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a Cook County Sheriff’s Deputy was injured and a person in the other car involved in the crash was injured.
Both of the injured were transported to hospital(s).
A Hoffman Estates fire crew on arrival reported a Cook County squad car fully involved.
Golf Road and Barrington Road are blocked in the area. Northbound Barrington Road traffic is being diverted to eastbound Golf Road through the Mariano’s lot. No traffic was allowed to travel westbound on Golf Road. Also, no traffic in the area of Golf Road and Barrington Road was permitted to travel southbound south of the St Alexius Hospital entrance.
