Firefighters battle a four-alarm fire in Jersey City, N.J. spreading through a row of homes. Some six of the 14 homes are believed affected by the blaze.
Jersey City firefighters responded bout noon Wednesday to a residential fire at 27 Belmont Avenue, Jersey City. First arrival companies reported heavy fire on the first floor. A partial roof collapse occurred at 27 Belmont, and the fire spread laterally to 25 Belmont and 29 Belmont.Heavy smoke affected 23 Belmont and 31 Belmont.
Over 100 firefighter responded to the fire and worked to stop the spread of the fire to any more buildings.
No injuries reported, but 10 families were displaced. The American Red Cross is assisting families.
