Apartment residents were evacuated, and the fire was quickly brought under control. No injuries were reported. The fire may have started on a ground floor patio.
Four families (eight adults and seven children) were affected by the fire, and were receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
The Gresham Fire Department (Oregon) provides life safety services to city residents and contract districts for residents living in the cities of Fairview, Troutdale, Wood Village and areas of unincorporated Multnomah County.
