Los Angeles firefighters responded about 12:08 a.m. May 15, 2020 to a report of a commercial building fire at a Koreatown strip mall at 231 South Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles (near 3rd Street).
Seventy-one firefighters were assigned to the extra alarm fire.
Officials say the building was abandoned following several previous fire. The fire scene showed previous fire damage.
Arson investigators responded to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
