Fully-Involved House Fire on 25th St Near Congress Ave, Just South of the Santa Monica Freeway, Los Angeles

LAFD firefighters extinguish a fully-involved house fire with fire showing out all windows and the front door.

LAFD firefighters responded about 2:01 a.m. April 21, 2020 responded to a house fire at 25th Street in Los Angeles. “Heavy, heavy fire” was showing on arrival. The house was initially believed to be vacant, but the homeowners arrived and said the fire was undergoing renovation.

Firefighters searched for victims, and a defensive attack was transitioned to an interior attack at a 2-story home undergoing renovation.

Knock down time was 2:31 a.m.

According to Battalion Chief 11 Rodd Souter there were no injuries to firefighters or civilians. The fire started on the first floor.

No damage to any exposure.

Cause of fire initially unknown.
