A commercial building fire damaged several row buildings constructed in North Hollywood, setting back businesses at Tokyo Delves, District Pub, Joe’s Coffee and others.
Los Angeles firefighters responded about 5:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2019 to a commercial building fire in the block of 5200 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood. The extra alarm fire involved Tokyo Delve’s Sushi Bar, District Pub, Joe’s Coffee and others.
About 113 firefighters were assigned to fight the fire.
A thick plume of smoke blew east-southeast toward Warner Bros. studios, the Hollywood sign, and Griffith Observatory. Wind was reported calm at 5:53 a.m. at the Bob Hope Airport, but had been NW at 3 MPH at 12:53 a.m. and 3:53 a.m. At 7:53 a.m. the wind shifted from the southwest and at 8:53 a.m. shifted from the south southeast.
A fight broke out on the street near the scene, possibly over who might have caused the fire.
