FDNY fights a fire that started on the third floor of a residential over business building with Tower Ladder 17 at Side A.
FDNY responded about 4:00 p.m. Friday April 5, 2019 to a residential-over-business building fire at 246 East 149th Street in Mott Haven, The Bronx, New York.
The Red Cross reported it registered 18 adults following the fire. Emergency housing was provided for 15 of the adults.
The fire began on the third floor above Burkina Business Center and next to Yolanda’s Pizzeria & Restaurant. The fire response was elevated to a two-alarm fire. About 105 FDNY firefighters got the fire under control in a little over 45 minutes.
