Lake County Sheriff’s deputies responded about 10:40 a.m. Monday to a report of a crash involving a car and a truck on Route 137 near Center Street in unincorporated Libertyville.
The driver of a white Mitsubishi was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, and listed in critical condition.
A Mack semi-truck was pulling a gravel hauler and was traveling westbound on Route 137 when it struck the 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer that had stopped.
A crash investigation is ongoing by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
