Chicago police and Chicago Fire Department firefighters and paramedics responded about 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017 to 61st and Kedzie Avenue to a report of a car crash into the City of Chicago’s Chicago Lawn neighborhood public library.
A 14-year-old male passenger inside was suffering a gunshot wound to the chest. CFD Engine 88’s crew was on the scene by 11:13 p.m.
Allegedly a juvenile female was driving a stolen black Scion when some in a black sedan shot into the Scion near 60th Street and Whipple.
By 11:21 p.m. Engine 88’s crew followed Ambulance 68’s crew to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Christ Medical Center with the 14 year-old male.
The 14 year-old female driver was arrested by Chicago PD.
