Police are searching for armed robbers that are targeting Chicago delivery drivers.
Police responded to a report that a FedEx driver was robbed on Monday, December 19, 2016 about 6:30 p.m. near West 51st Street and South Princeton Avenue, Chicago. The FedEx driver was making deliveries in a van when four male offenders wearing masks approached. Police were told that one of the offenders displayed a gun, taking the delivery driver’s personal items, the truck, and everything inside the truck.
Police found the truck empty at 54th Street and Shields, about one-half mile away.
A FedEx driver was also robbed at gunpoint in Chatham neighborhood on December 9, 2016.
