Chicago Police Shoot, Kill Man after He Shot 2 Other People at Harrison St and Central Park Ave, Homan Square

VIEWER DISCRETION: Investigation after police-involved shooting after, police say, a man was shot by Chicago police officers after he was seen shooting another person on the ground.

Chicago police officers responded about 12:25 a.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 to a call of “shots fired” near the intersection of Harrison Street and Central Park Avenue in the Homan Park neighborhood.

Police say, when they arrived on the scene they saw a man standing over and shooting a man who was down on the ground beneath him. The shooter was pronounced dead after police shot him. One of the victims the man shot was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Illinois State Police were also on the scene after the shooting and the Independent Police Review Authority are investigating.
