Harrison Ford Plane Crash – Paramedics Treat Harrison Ford.
An LAFD Ambulance 62 crew, a Santa Monica engine crew and a Santa Monica Battalion Chief were on the scene of the aircraft crash-landing involving Harrison Ford. Ford was credited for managing to aim the crash-landing in the open space of the golf course instead of a residential neighborhood.
Actor Harrison Ford was injured Thursday when a small plane he was piloting crashed near Los Angeles (Courtesy NBC News Channel).
Los Angeles firefighters responded about 2:20 p.m. Thursday to the Penmar Golf Course in Mar Vista, California after a Ryan Aeronautical ST3Kr aircraft crash-landed on a golf course.
Hollywood actor Harrison Ford crash-landed the World War II training plane at Penmar Golf Course, Mar Vista, California near Los Angeles.
He was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He is reported to have several gashes to his head. A firefighter spokesman described the injuries to a 70-year-old male as fair-to-moderate.
Ford was piloting what appears to be a vintage 2-seater fighter plane Thursday when he crashed into Penmar golf course in Mar Vista near Venice, CA.
Two doctors who happened to be at the golf course immediately treated the actor, and fire-rescue personnel arrived a short time later.
Santa Monica and Los Angeles police were on the scene to preserve the scene for investigation.
