Video of Buffalo, New York Fire Department defensive operations on Walden Avenue near Genesee.
Buffalo (New York) firefighters responded about 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014 to a fire at 5 Walden Avenue. The fire in the 2½-story wood frame spread to another 2½-story frame at 3 Walden Avenue, and then to 1 Walden Avenue — a wood frame building with outer brick walls.
No injuries were reported.
BC43 was on the scene of a former funeral home building reported to be a Mosque. Engine 21 on arrival reported heavy fire from the first floor extending to the attic.
Fire went through the roof and extended to two exposure buildings. Wall collapse on the 2 side (B-side).
High wind conditions fueled the fire from the time leading up to the fire, and diminished after sunset.
