Two men died after their bi-plane crashed into a backyard on Sunrise View Circle in Liberty Township. Some witnesses thought the bi-plane was practicing stunts before it crashed.
Butler County Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters responded about 8:55 a.m. Saturday to a report of an aircraft crash at a Sunrise View Circle address in Liberty Township, Ohio north of Cincinnati.
Two men were killed in the aircraft that was consumed by fire after the crash. The fire was extinguished by 9:30 a.m.
The pilot is believed to have tried to land the aircraft between two houses, but the aircraft hit the attached garage of a home — causing extensive damage to the house, and causing the house to be uninhabitable.
WCPO: Witness Tom Knox describes what he saw Saturday morning in his Butler County neighborhood.
