Emergency workers rescued two victims of trench collapse at a construction site outside a home in Rye, New York. After pulling one worker to safety quickly, it took rescuers about half an hour to get the second one out.
Rye (New York) firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:30 a.m. Thursday to Bradford Avenue near Post Road to a trench collapse. Workers were fixing the foundation for a leaky basement when a trench around the foundation collapsed.
The workers were buried chest-deep in dirts and debris from the collapse trench.
