Portland Oregon firefighters responded about 8:25 a.m. Sunday May 19, 2013 to a house fire at 9005 North Oswego Avenue. Hook and Ladder 22 and Engine 22 were first on the scene with heavy fire showing at the front of the house.
Also on scene were Engine 26, Engine 8, and Engine 24.
Ammunition stored inside the house was detonated by the fire, and rounds firing could be heard outside.
No injuries were reported and pets are reported to have made it out of the house alive. One cat might have run off, and might have been missing, initially.
