Firefighters, EMS and police responded about 7:15 p.m. to a fire at or near West Fertilizer, Inc. at West Fertilizer at 1471 Jerry Mashek Dr. just off Interstate 35. A short time later a huge explosion occurred at the West Fertilizer, Inc. plant. The massive explosion occurred at about 7:50 p.m.
