Well-involved fire in a three-story wood frame (Providence Fire Videos).
Woonsocket firefighters responded Thursday, January 10, 2013 to a multi-home structure fire on Lincoln Street.
Multiple calls and a large column of smoke in the distance were good indications that the Woonsocket jakes would be going to work on Thurs Jan 10, 2013 on Lincoln St.
On arrival, a 2nd alarm was transmitted and the front of the house was well-involved and extending into the attic. Multiple lines and an aggressive interior attack was initiated by firefighters.
A 3rd alarm bringing was transmitted, brought two more engines to the scene. A 3rd was requested and after about an hour, the fire was brought under control.
Six families were left homeless and a dog and cat were rescued from the apartments.
