Amateur video from Dallas appears to show a gunman trading fire with police on Thursday night. Five officers have died after someone opened fire on police during a protest. Three people are in custody.
The video above doesn’t tell the full story. A police officer was shot at extremely close range when the sniper came around a cement pillar of an office building and shot the police officer with a high-powered rifle from about 4 feet distance. A citizen on a roof or balcony of the Dallas Crown Plaza hotel across the street captured the shooting on video.
